Here’s my absolute favorite version, developed after years of tweaking to solve a few problems, especially the occasional soggy crust from overly juicy apples.
Wow---I am glad you are making it and not me. My mother died at 100, but a few years before she died, she decided to make her famous Apple Pie without sugar. it did not work out well, but mother thought it a wonderful idea. Donna
